Step-by-step diagnostic checklist for mining rigs at 0.05 PH/s and above—fan alarms, hash-board errors, and PSU drift before you call for an on-site assessment.

Use this page before requesting an on-site rig assessment or ordering spare parts. Clear symptoms shorten visit time and improve parts matrix accuracy.

Before you open anything

  • Export 24-hour hash-rate and temperature logs from your monitoring stack.
  • Note ambient humidity for the past week—coastal sites often misdiagnose humidity as board failure.
  • Photograph serial stickers on PSU, control board, and each hash board.
  • List prior repair attempts (which screws, which parts, which technician).

PSU drift

Rising power draw without hash gain often precedes PSU failure. Measure inlet current on one unit versus fleet average. If >8% deviation, schedule PSU inspection before board swaps.
